Before  After Face: The first step toward beautiful makeup application is clean, well-hydrated skin. Here are a few tips to make sure your skin looks its best before you start: First, pat Vitashield Intensive Eye Firming Treatment Cream under eyes to prepare the skin for the smoothest application of Concealer. Follow with a moisturizer to hydrate skin. The Skintelligence Daily Moisture Enhancer is the ideal moisturizer for all skin types. For women over 40, I recommend the Timeless Prescription Face Firming Moisturizer with MDI Complex for enhanced hydration. All skin types can benefit from Motives Foundation Primer, designed to be applied following your moisturizer, this primer will help you achieve a smooth, flawless makeup application.
After concealer and/or Eye Brightener, apply your custom-blended foundation in the formula that's suited to your skin's needs. For a flawless finish, set with a light dusting of Oil Control Blotting Powder (for oily skin types) or Mineral Powder (good for all skin types). Cheeks: To add sheer, bright, luminescent color to the cheek, I chose natural, pretty pink shades to "lift and brighten" with Motives Mineral Powder Blush.  Dust 100% Cotton Mineral Loose Powder Blush, included in the "Lift and Brighten" Collection, on the apples of cheeks with the Blush Brush. Sweep on up towards hairline, then downwards to blend and soften color. A pop of color on cheeks can instantly pretty your look. For a Pressed Powder Blush option, I recommend bright shades like Orchid Smoke and Spring. Also, Coppertone Blush has a soft shimmer to draw light to the face for a brightening effect. Eyes:  The "Lift and Brighten" Look is all about opening up the eyes. To achieve this result, I chose the lightest shades for Eye Shadow application and Black liner to define the lash line. I know you've been told to stay away from Black liner, but you'll notice that using this color liner on the upper lash only, creates an uplifting effect.....it's all in the application of the right product and the right knowledge of knowing how to use it. "Black eyeliner is the secret to gorgeous, sexy eyes. Wear it alone or layer black liner on top of your normal liner (just on the upper lashline) and you'll see a real difference".To maintain the true lasting color of your eye shadows, use Motives Eye Base prior to application. Follow with Motives Eye Shadow. This silky formula glides on smoothly and blends easily and is available in a range of shades for eye lids, lining eyes, and defining brows. Cotton Candy is shown on model and is a choice included in the "Lift and Brighten" Collection. Apply this light/medium Motives Eye Shadow color on lower lids from your lashline to crease with Eye Shadow Brush. Sweep Lightest Eye Shadow just below your browbone using your finger or an Eye Fluff Brush. To highlight browbone, apply a light shade: Ice, Sugar (shown on model), Sweet Cream, or Figi under browbone. Define eyes with Motives Eye Shadow in Dark Denim applied along upper lashline with Eyeliner Brush. I recommend Dark Denim Eye Shadow to help brighten eyes; Espresso Eye Shadow is another option for lining eyes. Finish with two coats of Motives Long and Luscious Mascara in Nouveau Riche Black. An everyday essential for lashes. This innovative, all-in-one formula lengthens, thickens, and defines - without smearing, smudging or clumping. Lips:  I chose pretty pink shades to brighten this look with a Lip Color shade that will compliment your natural lip and give it the added brightness it needs.Apply Blooming Rose LipStick. Wear alone or pair with Motives Lip Liner, Lip Shines or Lip Plumpers - depending on your desired effect.
